Awesomeness

I planted these daffodils so many years ago I can't recall; maybe seventeen. I've dug up lots and given them away, and my neighbors have patches of them that make me happy too. They just started blooming this week and I looove them. They smell nice but I usually don't cut them, they last weeks outside. Spring is my favorite.

  1. Oh, that reminds me of Christchuch! (They had fields of these in the springtime...) Beautiful!

  2. Beautimous! I think daffodils look like sunshine has finally arrived. Mine aren't quite up, but I'm hoping to see them soon. So far have to be satisfied with the crocus es? that are popping up in my yard. I am so very tired of the snow grrrrr.

  4. Hiya--Came over from Dooce. On her site I'm Cosmo3807 if you give a shit. ;-)
I'm happy to find an "Elderly, crotchety" on Dooce. Pretty much everyone there seems like 'good people', but so young, healthy and downright cheerful. I'm sure that isn't the reality, just my perception.
If you don't hate me yet, I just want to say that 1) I've never heard of Ehlers-Danlos and I am amazed (again) at how cruel some diseases can be. 2) I have plenty of pain issues myself via Rheumatoid & Oesto arthritis, so I can at least relate to your pain if not the cause. Toss in Fibromyalgia, mix well, and I, too, am elderly and crotchety. But not nearly as amusing as you. And I love your positive attitude.
Yikes, you prob'ly think I'm nuts & I wouldn't blame you. I'll stop now & reiterate that I just wanted to say hi! (Well, yes, I DO have several pain pills in my system right now. Why do you ask?). And can you send me some of your toughness? You're an inspiration! Stay strong.

  5. I also came over from Dooce, but because of your hilarious comment you left on the "What did your prom dress" look like question.

I really liked your answer, and would love to feature a photo (if you'd be willing to send one) on my new site: www.promtacular.com

It's all in good humor and good fun, like Awkward Family Photos, but with more sequins.

  6. Welcome ladies! Trilly, life does suck but then there is the alternative. Hmm.
Kristy, I answered that question a while back but I think I know the dress. If DD has it still buried in her dress-up clothes we will have to dig it out for you. I have been camera shy my whole life and was unlikely to have been photographed in the thing.
